The medal is suspended from its original cornflower blue grosgrain ribbon, complete with a mounted Heer (Army) eagle device—a detail specific to German Army recipients.

The reverse side of the ribbon retains the green wool backing and period-style safety pin, indicating this medal was worn on a uniform. The overall condition is very good, with light age-related wear consistent with authentic WWII service items.
